A Chinese activist lawyer HAS BEEN freed from a 3-year sentence imposed in a secret trial, AND says he will defy warnings to remain silent. Zheng enchong was convicted of reavealing state secrets while helping residents sue a prominent real estate developer who demolished their homes. DELETE [After the release yesterday] he now needs permission from the police to leave his home and can no longer practice as a lawyer.Chinese authorities refuse to release details of their case. Zheng vows to appeal.

ASSIGNMENT THREE Sapphire Wang Harvard University Professor emeritus Sapphire Wang, author of a series of world renowned works on Psychology, died Sep 8th 2087.She had enjoyed her abundant life with her beloved husband Johnny, a successful Movie Producer and a eagle-eyed businessman.They met while Sapphire was studying in Communication University of China in Beijing as a student and were wed in 2008. Wang was considered one of the most talented authorities on varieties of psychology . She was also known for her tremendous anchoring career in her 30s and 40s,during that time, her special interview programme on NBC was received by a great amount of audiences global wide,and she became the first Chinese anchor peaked the top of most popular celebrity in the media world. He was a 2008 graduate of CUC, majoring in International Broadcasting Journalism. She is not only a determined lady in her career, but also a beloved wife and a devoted mother to 3 children . She is a traditional Chinese woman in family, and also a always updated professionel in her work.He resigned the anchor job when she reached her 50, and became a professor in Harvard University. She nurtured youngsters there as an elder teacher, and gained fresh knowledge as a new student. She then accomplished her great works in Psychology.She said, “The best thing in life is to dance to the music it offers."

ASSIGNMENT FOUR
Write three pitches that you and some classmates can actually produce with the time and resources available to you.

The audience will be English speaking You Tube viewers. Your pitch should offer them something they cannot see elsewhere. This means slice of life and human interest stories are OK, but try to come up with some hard issue pieces or stories related to breaking news as well. Foreigners love to hear about: The Olympics, counterfeit or dangerous products, the environment and global warming, martial arts, student trends, China's economy, interesting tourist destinations, and anything unusual or surprising. Think about a story you would like to hear about in another country, and try it here.

Also think about the big stories in the world, and look for a Chinese connection. Are there Iraqi students here? Does China have an Islamic insurgency? What do Chinese students think about the US presidential race? Who is in charge at the Palestian Embassy here now that the Palestinians have split amid civil war?

Your pitch should include the names of the people you plan to interview, and the shots you plan to include.

1st: the military training of freshman students in Communication University of China-----the annual military training is ongoing in Zhaitang, every only child of each family should obey the extremly strict rules ordered by real soilders. The new college students will spend 20 days in the heat of the Beijing summer.

2nd:Mystery in the Forbidden City-----the newly-discovered mysterious room amid in the grand Forbidden city, which was thought to be a poisonous room in the last decades, forbad any staffs or visitors.In fact it is finally found out to be an antique room with heavy chemicals to protect the precious relics from being damaged.

3rd: Ancient Ice Cellar-----Down to the ground for hundreds of meters, the cave used to be the ice cellar for royal families. Workers store ice in winter and pull them out in summer.Now all these cellars are amid Hutongs in Beijing, with their yellow brands reminding people of their past.
