This shows good style. I think you are missing a key news element though. I'll suggest below.
The Pakistani government will propose amending its Rape Law to remove the burden of proof on victims
Currently, a woman who claims she was raped must provide four eye witnesses to prove her case.
If shefails to prove her case she may be convicted of adultery.
But under the proposed amendments, one who accuses a woman of committing adultery will have to have at least 4 witnesses.
Although the new amendments were welcomed by the ruling party, the conservative Islamic groups say the former "laws of God" shall not be changed.
ASSIGNMENT THREE

With deep sorrow, the world's educational circle mourns one of its top figures. Prof. Frederick Zhang just passed away due to a heart attack last night in the quiet German town of Freiberg at the age of 83.
Prof. Frederick Zhang was one of the best-known experts on linguistics for international communication and a full-time professor in the University of Freiberg.
Born in a small city in China on Dec. 18, 1985 (Pic. -- Frederick at all periods, childhood, youthhood, and adulthood), he graduated from Communication University of China in 2008, and got his PhDs at the University of Pennsylvania, US in 2013 and the University of Freiberg, Germany in 2016. Then he started his life-long teaching and researching of modern linguistics for international communication, and won a global reputation.
As a respectable teacher (Pic. -- Frederick discussing issues with other teachers, and giving lectures to students), he has been well received by both his colleagues and students. And as an outstanding master of languages, (Pic. -- Frederick reading books in the library, working before the computer, and receiving awards) he has been celebrated for his diligence, preciseness and efficiency.
(Interviews)
Zhang's colleague: We've lost a great partner. We'll never forget him as well his contribution.
Zhang's colleague: He's always helpful and humble. He is our model forever. The whole university is proud of him.
Zhang's student: Prof. Zhang is so kind to us. He's knowledgeable yet very moderate. I admire his achievement and his character.
The funeral will be held within 3 days, said Zhang's assistant, but it's not clear whether in Freiberg or in his hometown.
ASSIGNMENT FOUR
Write three pitches that you and some classmates can actually produce with the time and resources available to you.
The audience will be English speaking You Tube viewers. Your pitch should offer them something they cannot see elsewhere. This means slice of life and human interest stories are OK, but try to come up with some hard issue pieces or stories related to breaking news as well. Foreigners love to hear about: The Olympics, counterfeit or dangerous products, the environment and global warming, martial arts, student trends, China's economy, interesting tourist destinations, and anything unusual or surprising. Think about a story you would like to hear about in another country, and try it here.
Also think about the big stories in the world, and look for a Chinese connection. Are there Iraqi students here? Does China have an Islamic insurgency? What do Chinese students think about the US presidential race? Who is in charge at the Palestian Embassy here now that the Palestinians have split amid civil war?
Your pitch should include the names of the people you plan to interview, and the shots you plan to include.
I'm sorry, but these first two pitches are pretty boring. Take a look at what some of your classmates proposed.
Pitch 1: Good Luck Beijing Events Volunteers Share Their Stories
Background: Good Luck Beijing Programme was activated in its entirety this summer as a rehearsal before the Olympic Games to be held next year. Many college students served as volunteers.
Supposed interviewees: students of CUC who took part in voluntary services during 2007 International Baseball Tournament and 2007 Road Cycling Invitational
For this to work as a pitch, you have to tell me the surprising and interesting things the students will say.
Pitch 2: Tutorial of English for Olympics Recorded
Background: Lots of Chinese people want to learn practical English related to the Olympic Games, so a voiced Tutorial of English for Olympics was published recently.
Supposed interviewees: announcers of the listening materials, producer of the tutorial, some learners (if accessible)
This has potential, but same problem as above. If BBC did this, they would focus on how keen China is about having foreign guests, but some of the humorous misunderstandings that may occur with the language barrier despite the best intentions.
Pitch 3: Moon-Cakes Become Less Expensive This Year
Background: As the traditional Chinese festival – the Mid-Autumn Day is drawing near, makers of moon-cakes, the traditional food for the festival, pitch in preparing for their busy season. Facing the markup of raw materials, many well-known moon-cake makers, unexpectedly, have cut down their price, because of the newly issued National Standard of Moon-Cakes, which strictly confines the price of moon-cakes.
Supposed interviewees: moon-cakes sellers, consumers and makers (if accessible), lawmaking oficials (if accessible)
A general audience doesn't know what moon cakes are, so they dont care if the price is going up or down. The audience does care about the quality of products in China, so if you can relate this to that issue, you might have a story.
A global audience has tens of thousands of sources of information vying for their attention. You must come up with something that will touch them and their lives. A lot of them probably struggled with a second language, so that is a good idea. Some might be wary about Chinese products, which are widely sold all over the world. Very few care how much moon cakes cost in China.
ASSIGNMENT FIVE
Final Analysis
“Pig Disease in China Worries the World-Lack of Data Impedes Research” leaves us a mysterious overall impression at the very beginning. After heated discussion, we found that the author herself could be a “sly” or a master in her writing and reporting skills. She never mentioned her opinion directly in the article, however, she made us believe or at least suspect that the Chinese government and researchers may lag behind in dealing with public health problems and research process, respectively. Actually, based on our understating and group discussion, what the writer tried to express is that both the information channels of the Chinese government and scientific studies ought to be more open, instead of remaining in the present relatively closed state. She intended to point out the regime or the institutional behind the scene of this news event. She gave us the examples of the agreement on the tissue samples and the withholding of information to support her opinion.
Questions or Comments for the writer:
1.The beginning of the story is very sensational and attract the readers' attention immediately. But in the third paragraph when the writer say "wiping out the entire herds", this may not be very accurate.
2. In page two, the author conclude that diseased pig already have entered the food supply both directly and indirectly. However, thoughout the whole passager, she fails to provide any evidence, no matter investigations in markets or interviews from hospitals, showing whether this is real or just a rumor.
