ASSIGNMENT THREE
Please paste the Obituary assignment here.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen, today we started the cultural and art news with a sad note.
Yesterday, XX, XX, Erica Hwang, a famous journalist and brilliant fashion industry leader died at the age of 77, in her house in Sanya, Hainan island in China. Around her was her beloved family: her husband, two lovely kids, and her close friends.
Graduated in Communication University of China, Erica Hwang was an absolute trend leader in the international journalism field. With her special style of interview, she almost interviewed all the man higher up and the celebrities. She is a miracle.
In her funeral, people gathered for the lost of the media field and fashion industry.
George.W.Bush.Jr.Jr :"She is a very special woman. She can make me stammer."
Lindsey Lohan :"I'm sad. How could she left us so early? I'm one year older than her!"
Hilary Duff Jr :"She dressed in her own way. But brilliant."
Obviously she can be a sharp questioner, and a gentle friend. Her various angle of interview, her sharp questions, her caring to the poor and children, impressed the world. And her pulitzer winner, the famous tears in the wind: Taiwan, longing eyes for home, is a required material for most journalism students till now.
Her brave and kind heart will live with us, forever.

ASSIGNMENT FOUR
Write three pitches that you and some classmates can actually produce with the time and resources available to you.

The audience will be English speaking You Tube viewers. Your pitch should offer them something they cannot see elsewhere. This means slice of life and human interest stories are OK, but try to come up with some hard issue pieces or stories related to breaking news as well. Foreigners love to hear about: The Olympics, counterfeit or dangerous products, the environment and global warming, martial arts, student trends, China's economy, interesting tourist destinations, and anything unusual or surprising. Think about a story you would like to hear about in another country, and try it here.

Also think about the big stories in the world, and look for a Chinese connection. Are there Iraqi students here? Does China have an Islamic insurgency? What do Chinese students think about the US presidential race? Who is in charge at the Palestian Embassy here now that the Palestinians have split amid civil war?

Your pitch should include the names of the people you plan to interview, and the shots you plan to include.
